- Where do I buy your products?
- Every product here links to its Amazon listing in the US or Canada. Amazon takes the payment, ships the order and handles any return. We do not sell directly from this website, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight.
- Something arrived broken. What do I do?
- Sorry — that is a rotten way to start. Go to "Your Orders" in your Amazon account, choose the damaged option, and Amazon will replace or refund it, usually straight away. You do not need our permission first, and please do not post broken glass back to anyone. If you have a spare minute afterwards, tell us too: breakage patterns are what tell us which packaging to change.
- How do I know if a piece is mouth-blown or pressed?
- Look for the "Mouth-blown" mark on the product card — it only goes on pieces that earned it. The same information sits in the first line of every Amazon listing. We never describe a pressed piece as handblown, however tempting the marketing copy would be.
- Are the jars food safe?
- Yes. The glass and the lid seals are food safe for dry goods and confectionery. They are not designed for canning, preserving or anything requiring a heat seal.
- Can I put them in the dishwasher?
- Small pressed pieces and canister sets, yes. Large mouth-blown jars, we would rather you did not — the lid chatters against the ground rim through the cycle and chips it. Warm water and a cloth does the job. And never move glass straight from a cold room into hot water; thermal shock is the one thing that reliably kills it.
- A lid does not fit my jar. Is it faulty?
- Lids are ground to their own jar individually, so a lid from one will not seat perfectly on another. If the lid that arrived with your jar does not sit flush, that is a fault — return it through Amazon.
- Do you ship outside the US and Canada?
- Not yet. Our listings are live in those two markets only, and Amazon will show you what is available to your address. We would like to widen that; we are not there.
- Do you sell wholesale?
- Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. See the wholesale page for minimums, lead times and own-label options.
- The ratings on this site do not match Amazon exactly. Why?
- Good catch. There is no Amazon API that hands out star ratings, so we copy them across by hand and refresh them periodically — which means they can lag by a few weeks. The live figure on the Amazon listing is always the one to trust.
